Governor of East Nusa Tenggara, Frans Lebu Raya said that NTT still require financial support from central government to build infrastructure to support the implementation of the Sail Komodo 2013.
"The infrastructure needed such as water development, revitalization or restructuring potential areas or areas of tourism, the construction of urban drainage, provision of landfill facilities, the arrangement of green open space in an effort to improve the quality of neighborhoods, Lebu Raya said," in Kupang on Thursday (15/03/2012).
NTT governor suggested it was related to the readiness of facilities and infrastructure in support of the implementation of the Sail Komodo 2013. "To support the success of Sail Komodo, then the support is absolutely necessary facilities and infrastructure, including drinking water infrastructure development, revitalization or settlement area or areas of tourism potential," he said.
Frans said it has submitted a request for support to Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmato to be budgeted in the 2012 Budget Amendment.
Komodo Sail 2013 will stop in 13 point spread in 13 districts in the province. Some stopover points that will be passed Sail Komodo participants are Australia (Darwin), Kupang, TTU, Belu, Alor, Lembata, Maumere, Ende, Ngada, Labuan Bajo, Waikelo, Sabu Raijua, and Rote.
Sail Komodo aims to introduce potential tourists both foreign and nationwide, to strengthen the promotion system Sail Komodo ships with a stopover point, making the entrance NTT yachts and cruise ships from Asia Pacific and Australia.
